Not perfect, but as good as we got
There is no questioning the hosts’ passion for Islanders hockey-they wear it on their sleeves. With very little or no media attention given the team by local media, The podcast are a godsend. Also, they are obviously very knowledgeable on the team and its history. Their discussions are usually thoughtful, if occasionally rambling and off topic. Their overall tone is generally highly pessimistic, which is understandable given how many years the franchise has been in the wilderness-however, I am a little surprised that their doom and gloom has continued unabated under the new regime of Lou and Barry, which is the best thing that happened to this franchise since Bill and Al. I have been a fan of the team since 1975, and think that Lou and Barry are the real deal. These guys are a brain trust, Mark my words -they are going to get it right. Come on, boys, give them a little time.

Two things about THAT Barzal goal from a Buffalo resident: Sabres fans absolutely cannot shut up about how amazing it was. (Can’t blame them.) The Hertl goal Dan referred to was actually scored on Martin Biron. This is not something I specifically remembered, but what I inferred from Marty...Read full review »
