wonderful show
I started listening because I liked the idea of finding a long lost tape of a local musician's first show. It reminded me of all of the shows I went to as a kid, and how important the local music scene was (still is, but I don't get to be as involved as I used to be). The journey that this tape takes Deirdre on quickly becomes about much more than fond memories of her youth and develops a wonderfully touching story.

This podcast was so cute. First couple episodes were really slow, but after you push through it becomes a thoughtful painting of people, setting, and how they shape each other. Also appreciate the environmental themes in the music and the 90’s pop culture references.

Some folks have disliked the narration. I think they may have missed that this story is about the narrator as much or more about her subject, and over the coming episodes we will learn more about the narrator through listening to her podcast. Its a great listen.

The narrator’s performance is overblown and absolutely ridiculous. The story is uninteresting and not worth your time. Skip this one.
