“I loved this show so I thought I’d just peruse the reviews. The “Hillary Clinton love” ??? No. The podcast was just pointing out that she & Betty were the same age. One went one way, one another. It wasn’t some political rant- it just sent the time period.
As for the “feminism”- again, it was a point that set the stage/time. No fault divorces were brand new & they left women (on average) 73% more impoverished than when married (& the ex husband 42% more wealthy) one year following the divorce. Betty’s entire case was that she got a short end of the stick in the divorce and it made her a bit insane.
The podcast doesn’t AT ALL say she DID get a bad deal in the divorce, and it is full of interviews from both sides of the case.
