Uhhh.... the reviews?
I loved this show so I thought I’d just peruse the reviews. The “Hillary Clinton love” ??? No. The podcast was just pointing out that she & Betty were the same age. One went one way, one another. It wasn’t some political rant- it just sent the time period. As for the “feminism”- again, it was a point that set the stage/time. No fault divorces were brand new & they left women (on average) 73% more impoverished than when married (& the ex husband 42% more wealthy) one year following the divorce. Betty’s entire case was that she got a short end of the stick in the divorce and it made her a bit insane. The podcast doesn’t AT ALL say she DID get a bad deal in the divorce, and it is full of interviews from both sides of the case. Great show. Very unfair, ridiculous reviews.

I’m interested in this story, but can not concentrate on the storyteller’s words because the background twinkly music is SO loud and obnoxious. It’s a shame it’s so grating.

This is a great story. People are going crazy because of the music and I get it but it’s not so bad once you get past it. Informative and greatly written. A bit overly dramatic but the story itself is fascinating.
