Highly recommend if you want to get to intermediate level
I highly recommend Marco’s Podcast, especially if you are upper beginner trying to get to the intermediate level. As a beginner, I had immersed myself with tons of YouTube videos and Podcast geared towards language learning and had no trouble understanding them. However, I realized I could not understand an Italian article from a magazine. In other words, I realized it was time to move on from beginner level vocabulary/subjects if I wanted to be able to read/listen to real everyday Italian. It was time for intermediate level vocab/subjects and Marco’s podcasts was perfect. He speaks at his normal speed (not slowed down for beginners) and talks about a variety of subjects. Plus, he provides transcripts for the podcasts for free (huge for Language Learners). It was difficult at first (he does tell you this is intermediate/advanced), I almost stopped, but I realized I have to do it if I want to get to the intermediate level. I’m glad I did, because it got easier with time and I don’t always need to see the transcripts. Plus, I noticed it’s becoming easier for me to understand Italian articles of different topics. More importantly, it’s becoming easier for me to understand Italian speakers, which will help me when I go to Italy next year.

Like me, might enjoy this podcast UNTIL you notice he adds a rhetorical “no?” at the end of every third sentence. I counted over 20 in under 5 minutes. Try it. Annoying, no? Infatti.

Adoro il podcast di Marco. Non solo pratico la mia comprensione orale in italiano, ma imparo anche con i suoi argomenti interessanti. Mi piacciono anche i suoi aneddoti :)
