Results rule for kids football league
Hey. My daughter (8) is in a football league which doesn’t allow any scores to be shared as it’s the taking part that counts. Whilst I understand elements of this rationale, do you think this is a healthy approach to sport and embodies what sport and competition is all about?

An excellent addition to the football podcast scene. It’s a hard nut to crack these days but Ladyman and Sutton have managed it. The Mail’s football reporting is consistently excellent and this is of the same standard. It’s now a fixture on my weekly playlist. Keep up the good work.

Disagree on handball, agree on the devaluation of the FA Cup and League Cup. Like kids who claim not to do their homework, it has almost become ‘cool’ for managers at all levels to ignore the cups. This should be a topic Ian and Chris should discuss in more depth on third-round weekend.
