“Like the title says, I used to love this show, but I don’t anymore. I liked the personalities of Steve, Will and Greg. I felt like they had a good chemistry together and they were so funny, especially Will and Greg together. They could have had a stand up comedy show and I would have paid for it.
What happened to me was that, as the show went on, it became more and more negative and more and more political. I don’t have a problem with the views of the hosts, I am a progressive myself, but the problem for me was that, if I am listening to a Pokémon podcast, I don’t want to listen to a rant about a social issue every single episode. I am listening to a Pokémon podcast to think about something else, to escape these things, to listen to things about Pokémon, with the people’s perspective on it.
I was looking forward every Monday to each new episode. After a few months of not feeling great after listening to each new episode, I asked myself « why do I keep listening to this if it makes me feel worse? ». This is when I decided to stop listening to a podcast I used to greatly enjoy. I would recommend the older episodes of a few years ago to any Pokémon fan, but I would not recommend the ones since Will left.”
