EPISODE #72 FRONT ROWE With JACKIE ROWE Interview with candidate for BBP office.
Description
MEET TRISHA OCONA
Community and Housing Educator and Strategist
“I am a lifelong resident of Brooklyn, who has been fighting predatory housing for more than half my life. I am outraged at what has happened to our city and the lack of leadership in city government towards both the recovery and future of our great Brooklyn that we love and know. As a woman, I share the quest for equality. As a mother to school aged children, I share the same concern with the future of our educational system. As a small business owner, I share the need to know that we are supported to have a successful business. As the daughter of immigrant and senior citizen parents, I feel championed to make sure that no Brooklynite is ignored or forgotten. As the mother to a four year old black son, I share the burden and worries of his future for both policing and gun violence, that we have seen plague our communities and so many families. My housing and community knowledge, experience, and leadership has laid the foundation and platform for me to be your next borough president.
My name is Trisha Ocona, and I am asking for your vote on June 22nd, so together we can achieve the leadership and future we need.
