Desperately in need of diversity
While I like the content of the podcast (focussing more on British tennis than some of the bigger podcasts), today was my final listen. The podcast is desperately in need of a more diverse presenting team. Anna Smith was a great, but sadly too brief, addition. The presenters are the textbook image of white male privileged mansplainers- they can’t seem to understand that nobody fully understands the lives experience of someone in a different gender, race or ethnicity, and resort to naïve comments that trivialise the experience of others and unmask their own lack of insight. George and James discussing the impact of periods on performance was a particularly great example, given they both managed to immaturely snigger and didn’t seem to recognise that what they were saying was so far off the mark of what the experience is like- moments like this jolt me and have made it an uncomfortable listen. Their inelegant description of what it might be like leaving your family in a country at war, and needing to still try concentrate on doing your job, demonstrated a lack of true empathy which personally I found depressing in journalists, and has led me to unfollow the podcast.

More reviews of Tennis Unfiltered
I don’t know why the relatively low rating. I have enjoyed this podcast. The host and experts involved clearly love tennis, know fair amount of it, and are not afraid to give their thoughts.

These guys are so informative and fun - they make me laugh so much! Calvin is amazingly knowledgeable and bold. James sounds the nicest guy and he’s a great host - he brings the whole show together. Great host. Totally great show, keep going guys!

Hi guys really enjoy the show, as a coach and parent of a guy ranked in the top 300. I find your unfiltered view of the tour very interesting. Especially enjoy Calvin’s views on coaching on the tour. Keep up the good work.
