“Myths mixed with time travel and SciFi ... both epic and individual dramas. Bad Corporations & Government. Literal Nazis. This really came alive for me a couple episodes into S2, and ended pretty well, after id struggled to come to terms with the ... well ... reliance on the tropey canon. S1 was more of a slog with lots of bickering and a stilted dialog that wasn’t super engaging for me. There were some excellent sound choices, and some incredibly painful ones. It’s a frustrating mix of superb quality, and misses. I always have trouble with Myths (and most other classics) because of the gross rapey male dominated plots, flat characters, and typically very broad stagey acting they inspire ... and with this story you can experience how hard those handicaps pull it down in all ways. Though it kinda breaks free in some moments, the story is mostly about what’s going on in a major character’s uterus, jealousy, male power, etc. Which is infuriating. There’s a lot to chew on in terms of potential crit. Makes me sad.”
