Always worth a listen…
I almost always try to listen to this pod. They have some great guests, but don’t always make full use of them. Dan is great at providing clarity and focus. To improve, please don’t wander around the topic at hand. In JSJ549 I listened through the first 30 mins but had yet to determine how or why I’d use Qwik. At this point I bailed. This may be because everyone in the pod already knows about the library or framework under discussion and can’t comprehend the position of a newbie like me. Not necessarily ideal. Randal L Schwarz used to host FLOSS Weekly and his opening gambit was: “give me the 30,000 foot view; why would I want to use this product / library / tool?” In other words: the elevator pitch. He then asked the questions other users would ask from a position of ignorance. This worked. Well.

More reviews of JavaScript Jabber
Just wanted to say that you're my number one JavaScript show. I love everything about your talks and hope you don't change a thing. The cast and guests are great and I get lots of tips and ideas from your topics. Please continue as-is.Read full review »

Like other reviews say, the actual tech content on these is really hit or miss. This latest episode with AJ raging rather than trying to have an actual conversation killed it for me, let alone the pseudoscientific book pick at the end. Dan Shappir is an incredibly patient man.

I’ve learned a ton listening to this podcast. The host is really involved and engaged in web development and it shows. It is easy to follow while out for a walk or something n a drive. Thank you for keeping this going.
