Worth spending time with
I have dozens of podcasts on my “favorites” list, but only two that I devotedly listen to every week. One of the two, J@2am, I am constantly recommending to people because I find that I get so much out of it and I can’t imagine that wouldn’t be true for anyone. I have been on staff at my church for over 25 years, through 4 pastors, and I have recommended J@2am to them as well as a few seminary students. I only wish I lived closer to Irvine. You know, we have churches here in OKC that have satellite locations that stream the sermons from the main church. Oh that Canvas could do that here. I would willingly leave my current church job to help out there. The flavor of all the sermons, not just Kirk’s, is brilliantly casual and yet honed to a firm point. They always make me want to go research biblical history, or study the gospels. Give this podcast a spin and see if you don’t agree.

Excellent explanation of the historical significance of the book of Revelation, opened my eyes to a new understanding of this most difficult book of the Bible. Thank you

Kirk's take on the Bible and theology is smart, entertaining, and practical to everyday faith and life. I've even used a few of his ideas and illustrations for my own preaching!Read full review »
