This week we introduce you to Ellie & Carl from “Tough Soles” who in 2017,  handed back their apartment keys, shouldered some (too-heavy) bags, and set out to walk every National Way-marked Trail in Ireland. This list of trails takes is over 4,000km of trails. No adventure project is ever linear, and so what started off as a 6 month project twisted and turned to include fractured feet, running out of money, and eventually completing them all in July 2019. In 2023 they launched 'The Weighing In Project', where they are aiming to remove a tonne of rubbish from the Irish countryside in a bid to give back to the land that has given them so much.
