Description
Many people dream of living and working abroad. As a family, however, it can be a bit more complicated as relocating abroad generally requires an accompanying spouse to leave behind their own job or role in order to join their partner & relocate their family overseas.   In this podcast, we chat with a few RPCVs who have found success in different ways as trailing spouses after their partners accepted an overseas opportunity.  Our guests review advantages, fears, and how impactful working overseas as a trailing spouse has benefited and effected their family.    Guests include: Bina Contreras (RPCV Uganda) is a Productivity Consultant and former staff at Peace Corps headquarters, who relocated with her spouse and family in 2018 to Samoa and Vanuatu for an international Peace Corps staff employment opportunity.Cathy Blumhorst (RPCV Guatemala,'88-'91) is a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner  and seasoned representative of the can-do attitude at living and working abroad during multiple international living experiences in relocating with her spouse for work.
