Ordinary Mystics
Listen now
Description
Being a Christian mystic was never meant to be something exceptional or rare. In Part 4 of the series, John, Alex, and Allen swap stories about what it looks like to live as ordinary, everyday mystics and how we're all meant to know God and the beauty of his kingdom in deep, profound ways. In this light, the Apostle John, St. Paul, and David were all mystics; certainly Adam and Eve were as well. Once we understand Christian mysticism as the daily experience of God as revealed in Jesus Christ, we can experience the normal life of an ordinary mystic. The book John referenced is A Wind in the House of Islam by David Garrison. The Prayer of Descent Podcast that John referenced can be found here.
