“Eloquent, intelligent, non-blustery discussion about beloved and lesser-known sci-fi films.
Love that they delve into films that some casual fans may have forgotten. There’s a lot of interesting ideas to explore, and credit is still deserved, even if some films were not huge hits.
Love that they don’t spend the entire time bashing things, even if they were objectively not great. They delve into what those films were attempting to do and ask what worked, and what didn’t.
Hope they review the various forgotten Mars films one day too - such as ‘Red Planet’, ‘Mission To Mars’, ‘Last Days on Mars’.
Maybe some space-horror films also, like ‘Pitch Black’, ‘Screamers’, ‘Leviathan’, ‘Soldier’…. All of these have interesting genetic links to other films.
Great to hear reviews and discussion of ‘S1m0ne’, ‘The Thirteenth Floor’, and many other lost greats.
Keep up the brilliant work guys. The best sci-fi podcast I have ever come across.”
