“I recently learned about Journey to Launch from a private group that I belong to on FB, so I started listening to it the other day: I want to thank the host, Jamilia Souffrant, for the simplicity of her message and delivery and, more important, for having diverse speakers, specifically African-American female guests -- many of the other shows that focus on personal finance and/or financial independce or male-dominated, so it is refreshing to have the perspective of a woman. Jamila also hails from NYC and speaks to a reality that I can relate to as a fellow NYer. I consume and have learned a lot from other personal finance podcast and blogs, but find a lot of the content either unbeneficial or not in alignment with my values. Jamila is on to a great start and I look forward to how this series will unfold.”
