Not my cup of tea
If you want uninformed raging against political correctness mixed with poor research, this podcast is for you. I stopped listening when the “host” said that the British Empire always valued women’s education. This is blatantly untrue, and he would know this if he had ever opened any history book, or any other anthology of British literature. Also, the title of the podcast is the “best” literature, and the most recent episode features talks about the Hunger Games. That’s just laughable. Considering the different literary communities today and their willingness to discuss meaningful, challenging works (in areas such as women’s rights, different cultural perspectives, etc.) I’m surprised that the host can be so unwilling to discuss any of these topics deeply, instead relying on misinformation. In fact, he gives the impression of never having researched his arguments at all.

More reviews of Just the Best Literature
For years I have had colleagues propose to start a book club or invite me to theirs. I have always declined because the literature they focus on is usually not of my tastes. JBL gets back to the basics and mines more jewels out of the classics few read anymore, let alone discuss.
