Too much tell, not enough show
A decent concept that was poor in its execution. The two main voice actors do their job well but even their talent isn’t enough to breathe life into this unintentionally ironic attempt at deconstructing popular tropes used in fanfiction. The whole podcast feels like someone wrote a slightly generic and mildly charming magical college au for their otp and then decided it would make a brilliant podcast. There is such a thing as too much banter. And there was too much banter here. An entire narrative cannot rest on unoriginal banal banter between two actors who luckily do have chemistry together.

I love the idea behind this and the way it’s executed is amazing! I think it is handled so well! The characters are great and I’m so excited for future updates, keep up the amazing work

This podcast is so sweet and cute it made me realise how much I like rom-coms. I wish more rom-coms would follow this podcast’s example and get ride of the sexist troupes and just keep the fluff as it’s a good genre writers just makes it unnecessarily creepy
