“As a white middle class English woman I want to thank Marcy, Jessica (& once upon a time, Trish) for giving me a place to talk about the Kardashians- no one I know would even admit to watching the show let alone have a conversation about the family. From this podcast I have learnt about issues that I already had experienced or read about but never had a real life conversation that was so smart or honest. Issues such as cultural appropriation, consumerism, body image, mental health and feminism. The podcast has given me real life touch points on these issues and opened up my opinions as well as giving me a sense of friendship and solidarity. I never knew that a podcast could give me all these things, let alone a podcast on the world’s most famous and superficial family. Thanks ladies!”
