Thank You for Talking About a Sensitive Topic
My son is 14 months old and my husband and I have had a lot of life changes while I was pregnant and right after he was born (moves and job changes). I chalked up my mood to stress and anxiety about being a new mom. It took me until I was at the point where I honestly thought my child and husband would be better off without me there and that I should just get on the bus and ride away. I told my husband about those thoughts about three days after I had them and he immediately started to work with me on improving my mental health. I’ve never felt that low since but i still struggle some days and my son is over a year old. I discuss my experience with all my friends who are expecting/trying and I always promise them that I will check in once the baby is here and continue to check in because it gets lonely. Being a parent is HARD! Thank you for bringing this up because we NEED to keep our brains healthy just like our bodies.

As a mama of 2, I have so appreciated the realness of this podcast. It’s been informative but also helping me feel not so f*ing crazy amidst all the ups and downs of motherhood.
