Long time listener- minor gripes
I’ve been listening since the 90s and have loved the show so much over the years. I very much like the current team but…. And mind you I’m left center ish…. It kinda irks me that Sarah lately paints the two parties as having the same policy proposals while suggesting that Kamala is somehow disingenuous on this front while never acknowledging Donald’s less than democratic tendencies. It feels like she is reducing the fundamental differences between the parties to something that fits into a thin veneer with Kamala taking the blame for stealing the lacquer. (Woodworking reference there. Sorry.) I guess I understand that is her role as “Right” and that if the “Right” on NPR was a “Left Plant” would be bad (I’ve read the reviews saying as much)…. But still. A little bit of acknowledgment of the patently concerning behaviors involving the breaches of the rule of law and truthfulness would build some credibility with the leftish folks listening. The Never Criticize Trump approach comes off as fake “for the podcast” or a deeply concerning fixed mindset - especially, like in this most recent lovely episode with all conservative voices, they were all sounding more rational and open minded than the host.

This is interesting, well reasoned political dialog. I always come away with new insights and a better feeling for what really...Read full review »

Political discussions with commentators from opposite ends of the political spectrum who talk to each other like rational human beings. Can we clone these people, please? If more of the talking heads on TV and other radio stations behaved like this, well, we'd probably all keel over from the...Read full review »
