“I “want to” like listening to this podcast but there’s one particular voice that makes me cringe and just ruins me through my AirPods Pro. I believe it’s the one who does the introduction and introduces herself as: ?____ (something)? Monay/Monet??
I believe in giving everyone a fair chance but there’s just something about her voice that makes my skin crawl.
To be fair - I took into consideration that it might be just ME (being irritable) when I listened the first time (PMS is real 🙄) so I wanted to give it a 2nd chance and tried again days later since I only made it through the first 8-10 minutes the first time before turning it off.
I’ll admit, I got farther the 2nd time but it was only due to sheer determination... and I still couldn’t finish it.

I’m sure she’s probably a lovely person - but I just don’t believe “podcasting” is the right profession for her. ❌
I know it’s supposed to be all in fun (and it is) but in addition to the just cringey sound of her voice, she also comes across as very aggressive with her words, her out-of-the loop & reality: opinions along with her tonality & persona. Not exactly what I’m expecting from an Afterbuzz panelist.
The other 3 podcasting with her (sorry, didn’t catch their names and since I’m only ‘listening and not watching’, I can’t describe any of them - but it’s 2 guys and another girl) - those 3 all seem perfect for this job - like it’s really their forte! They know how to read the show & articulate very well. If I could fast-forward through the one girls voice and cut her out (sorry, that sounds so mean 😕), I would be able to listen still - but she’s everywhere throughout and it’s impossible to do that.
So.. having said that, I wish you all well and as much as I was looking forward to listening to and supporting this podcast, I just can’t do it.
I’m going to give 3 stars anyway but this isn’t a good one for me - unless a change is made. Not everyone has the voice and tonality for podcasting and I really think those need to be staples for consideration when assembling a panel.
