Confused why Allison’s mom gets a laugh track
I thought Kevin’s world was the only one with a laugh track. I actually like the actor who plays Kevin…he’s doing a great job being the goofy buffoon who just puts people down but is still seen as the “good guy”. Yet, putting Allison’s mom in that situation makes me think the sitcom is in Allison’s head…yet Kevin’s sitcom world exists without Allison’s interaction. I thought ideally, Kevin would never change, since Kevins don’t change. Hopefully he won’t go into the drama world. I think that would be a disservice but I think Allison’s mom in the sitcom world is a disservice. Maybe it is because it only had two seasons? I don’t want to think it’s all in her head since the only sitcom parts prior to this was only Kevin scenes. So, now I am very confused what this show is trying to say…it broke its fourth wall with the “ham people” scene. In makes Neil entering the drama world weird because it was supposed to be a big deal…but if her mom is in the sitcom world…then anyone can just move back and forth. Like the cop too…she just ends up in the sitcom horror movie scene with Kevin without a problem. You would think the cop would understand why Allison does what she does. Or is a domestic assault victim, the way he puts her down. But for some reason I never was sure of, the cop hates her enough to make jokes about killing her. Doesn’t the cop know Allison’s dad? The show is making less and less sense to me. Keeping the drama world and sitcom world very separate…I thought that was the rules the show set for itself. It was great premise…I hope it comes back to a solid conclusion. Thanks for the podcast. I don’t know anyone personally who watches the show! Glad you guys are here!

More reviews of Kevin Can Podcast Himself
I finished the show recently and had no one to talk about it with so I checked online for some discussion. This show has a very small online presence so there aren't any good videos that get too deep. I thought I would give this podcast a try. I don't need a breakdown of every episode I...Read full review »

The hosts are engaging and I will continue to listen, however I wish they were a little more critical of parts of the show that don’t work. I really want Kevin can f*ck himself to work and succeed. The premise is amazing. It’s uneven though and not in ways that seem deliberate. The feeling that I...Read full review »
