“I am still so happy that Kevin is doing a podcast. I’ve been listening since the first episode. I love how zany, endearing and authentic he is and the guests are great.
I’ve been a Kids in the Hall fan since I was 17 (25 now) when I first saw a KITH rerun on Comedy Central. It was the episode where Kevin was dressed as a gorilla, took off the mask and said “I’m not really a gorilla, I’m just actor-comedian Kevin McDonald.” I was hooked and from that moment on Kevin was not only my favourite KITH but possibly my favourite person ever! KITH resonated with me in such a way where I felt a sense of true belonging for the first time in my life. The eccentricities, the punk/alternative rock feel, this group of guys who felt like misfits and who wrote and performed sketches that were edgy and that they found funny. Doing the kind of material they wanted to do. The Pixies of comedy as they like to say :)
One of my most memorable moments was when I called into a Winnipeg radio station when I was 18 to talk to Kevin who was a guest host. I was so nervous to talk to him but he was so sweet and you could tell he appreciates all the fans. Thank you, Kevin!
Also saw KITH live in Winnipeg on their 2015 tour. It was incredible and it makes me so happy that you are all still collaborating!
I love that he has had members of KITH on the show/podcast.My other favourites are the episodes with Mike Myers, Aimee Mann, and Ben Gibbard. It made my heart so happy to know that Kevin and Ben know each other. Ben (Death Cab for Cutie) is my favourite artist! I’d love to sit in on a taping, like the one coming up in September 2018 in NY maybe. Oh, and I love the bits with Kevin’s imaginary son Blevin! Hahah
Kevin is so funny as a guest on other podcasts too. It cracks me up when he starts getting excited about what he’s talking about or all of the sudden starts yelling haha.
I hope you get a chance to read this, Kevin! You and all of the Kids in the Hall have had such a positive impact on my life and I’m truly grateful that I discovered KITH and that you all continue to create amazing content. Excited to meet you some day! You should stop by Thunder Bay, ON (home of Paul Shaffer!) one of these days.
-from your Northwestern Ontario fan, Jacqueline :)”
