Too much focus on the past...
I was excited to see that there was a Robbie Keane podcast available given there are so many questions regarding his current contract situation with the FAI but this isn’t touched on at all here. No mention of Stephen Kenny taking over as national team manager and not taking Keane in his coaching staff. Instead we get 5 minutes of Robbie guessing songs and old stories that we’ve heard 100 times before. I understand that it appears that this was recorded pre Keane and Woodgate leaving Middlesbrough but again there’s nothing discussing their season and the struggles they’ve faced. Overall the podcast host comes across too much as Robbie Keane pal rather than someone who’s actually going to get into an interesting discussion with him. The attempt was probably to make this podcast fun but it rather comes across as boring. I don’t see the point in getting the opportunity to speak to someone on a podcast but then fail to ask them any pressing questions that people are looking for answers to. I know this review probably comes across as rather harsh for a free podcast but I am very frustrated that you didn’t ask him about any of the pressing issues at hand in relation to him.
