“We love the stories!
Nico’s idea: There is a beaver named Herman and a great blue heron named Gertrude they are friends. They’re walking along together when they come to a broken stoplight, then they see a broken flagpole and they wonder what happened there? They look up and see a giant tire rolling towards them. It crashes into an old empty brick building and smashes it. No one was inside and no one got hurt.
The beaver calls up his family who work in construction to bring all their equipment over. Then he calls up all his friends to come help with the demolition and rebuilding: including his friends Nico and his little brother Elijah, their mama and daddy, some turtles and red winged blackbirds.
They each operate a piece of construction equipment like an excavator, wrecking ball crane, cement mixer etc. After they clear all the rubble the beavers build a new wooden building. When it’s done the beavers like it so much they decide to move in and make it their new home.
They invite everyone to stay for a big dinner feast to celebrate and thank them for their help. Nico and Elijah start getting sleepy and they have to go home after dinner to get ready for bed. But they ask their mama can they invite all the animals to come to THEIR house the next day? And she says yes!”
