“So this is a very interesting look at important news stories, what it takes to be published, and how hard journalists work, but it is not “bringing killed stories back to life”. Mainly because all of these stories are known. It’s like the producers came up with a thesis statement and didn’t pivot when the podcast became something else. It’s more, “how journalists didn’t allow their stories to be killed.”
I’m not regretting the listen. But it’s like the title and the episodes don’t jive.
A podcast about hard working journalists (this podcast) - very cool.
What would also be cool is a podcasts that actually elevates amazing stories that don’t get published (not this podcast).”

“The preview Ashley put out on crime junkie had me jumping on this podcast instantly. I thought it was going to be good juicy stories that were killed because the information did not want leaked. Most are not like that. I listed to it all hoping it’d get better, it didn’t.”
