“So I’m not a super hardcore true crime junkie but I do dabble in it. When reading the briefing for what the podcast would be about I got super excited. Now after listening to every episode available I feel super let down.
Here’s my issue with the podcast…
You have a brilliant host who without a doubt has more knowledge and experience than any other true crime host out there. I guess you can say a special set of skills. But….those skills are hardly used in this podcast.
The majority of the episode is spent just going over the basics of the killers. Why is that an issue? Because there’s numerous podcasts that do this exact same thing and well…they do it better.
Presumably the whole idea of the podcast is to dove into the killers psyche. It’s literally the title of the podcast. But that isn’t really touched on deeply. You have an opportunity to do something completely different with someone who has experience and it just kind of falls flat. It feels like there’s a bowl of the best ice cream ever made in front of me but I can only have a quarter of a bite. Almost feels like we are getting the cliff notes of the cliff notes on all the information.
I understand that it’s a new podcast but you have a real opportunity to something different/special here. As of right now this show is very bland and dull. Dive deeper.”
