“Just listened to the bike path episode. In terms of women always having to be more vigilant than men, the FBI reported in 2022 that in the US, there were 14,441 men murdered compared to 4251 women. Based on that statistic, it seems safer to be a woman. The attacks on women are certainly more sensational, but men are bigger targets. As a woman, I recognize the need to use common sense in terms of safety. But I also understand statistics. It’s highly unlikely I’ll be attacked like these poor victims were. Live your life.”
