I know it might be controversial for this specific story but Crystal was abused and probably in a constant state of fear for her life. There seems to be a link between that constant fear and self defense while the abuser is asleep. I wish the laws would change. Look up how many abuse victims don’t get to escape bc when they try, they’re killed. Killing your abuser in their sleep is the one way to guarantee survival bc even abusers have to sleep. I’m so sorry she wasn’t protected long before that happened. Also Crystal, the last place you need to go when you get out is home. Your mom and sister didn’t help you before all this, and you’ll need a strong role model who is a genuinely good, caring and strong woman. Great podcast! The grainy sound from crystal is expected but kinda hurt my ears. Can’t wait to hear the rest about her trial!”

“I don’t know why all the naysayers are out there. if they are looking for a boring podcast with A monitor narrator, then I guess this isn’t for them. I think it’s very well done and I like that the format is 30 minutes per episode. The ads are short. Great job ladies!”
