Sketchy storytelling
I instinctively don’t find Crystal a reliable witness and yet the “investigative journalists” treat her every utterance as irrefutable. It seems like Crystal casts herself as the victim in every single scenario. And she’s had 8 years to rehearse lies to rationalize events. A lot more research should have been done. And agreed that the sound effects and overly dramatic delivery of the hosts undermine the podcast. The poor quality of the audio of the interviews could have been improved. And while the interviewers condemn the dead man for dodgy, unsubstantiated claims made by his murderer, they don’t question the actions of Crystal herself nor of the 16 year old creep who began a sexual relationship with her when she was 12. Creep claims he never knew her age. This unlikely claim isn’t challenged nor is he condemned for it. Crystal seems like she was an out of control teen with severe emotional problems and still has little ability to intelligently reflect or take accountability.

More reviews of KILLING DAD PRESENTS
If you can handle the narrator’s sounding like they are spoofing an over dramatic podcast… then you will find the content interesting. The background music is nearly as unbearable. Oh… and don’t forget the intro is absolutely cringe.

Her story is SAD and disturbing and she definitely got railroaded. NC really needs to reassess the sentencing...Read full review »

It feels like there is an equal amount of ads to content. They should either make the episodes longer or remove some of the ads. It’s frustrating to an otherwise great podcast
