“This is a story that needed to be told. As a society, it is difficult to wrap our heads around a child killing a parent. She was 17 years old. How could she receive 30 years to life? She was abused. These journalists are to be commended for their integrity and the beautiful way they tell Crystal’s story. The overall message I received is that we have to always have hope. If we sentence our children to rot in jail, what is the point?”

“I started this podcast but didn’t make it through the first episode. I missed so much of what was said and couldn’t follow along with the story due to the poor sound quality. I realize the conservations were recorded in a prison setting and that would make it challenging for the producers.”
