“Hi guys,
Why is it that all Parcast shows sound the same? The content and subject matter is fantastic..
The readers have great voices and are obviously talented.... but the delivery is so tedious. It borders on a form of vocal kabuki. Always the same stresses, always the same rhythm, always the same tricks.
Perhaps it’s a ‘style’/production choice, and if it is it’s a bad one. To me, anyway. Just sayin’.
Great narration is great because it serves the story and delivers it to the audience seamlessly. It’s not about the VOICE so much as it about the Voice delivering the STORY. Everything else sounds a little like your garden variety FM McDJs - precious about the sound of their voice, yet no real connection to the material.
Dig?
I hope this helps...
You’re welcome”
