Taking this series straight to the brain.
I’ve been a long time listener to two other King podcasts (The Losers Club and The Stephen King Cast) that I have absolutely loved, HOWEVER, the rate at which I consume those episodes pales in comparison to how addicted I am to the guys on Kingslingers. There’s something so friendly, inviting, calming, and often wholesome about Matt & Scott’s discussions. I love how simply they compare their thoughts regarding plot points of the stories they cover, how interesting their tangents are, and how I’ve caught myself actually responding/interjecting to their conversations out loud while listening. I just started listening to them around July 2024. I had a major death in the family that same month, and in August my wife and I moved from Minnesota to Colorado. The hours of drive-time (and grieving time) I’ve spent with these guys has kept me sane. Thanks, fellas. I’m ALMOST caught up on all the episodes, and I was dumbfounded when I listened to their announcement about ending this project at the end of the current season. I’m just grateful that I’ll get a chance to listen to the final episode of the series live!

I have read/listened to this series many times. I am constantly entertained by Scott biting his tongue as Matt almost presicts things right on the nose. And hiding a grin when Matt misses. That aside, I am m getting new insights to this story that I love. Even after so many turns of the wheel.

Wow. After finishing this series this was EXACTLY what I needed. A deep dive through the books picking up all the little details, and an excuse to stay in Mid World for a little longer. Excellent discussions and can’t wait to listen to other Doof media podcasts in the future, I’m hooked!!

I’m incredibly saddened that I did not find this podcast sooner. I began listening after they released Episode 60, but have been devouring their content for weeks now. Even though I was not fortunate enough to read alongside them, the program is still a spectacular way to gain new insights and...Read full review »
