In the fifth and final chapter of Chitragupta Ki Sabha, Shri Vishnu & Maa Lakshmi’s avatars Lord Ram and Goddess Sita stand across each other.
It is said in our texts that no one can escape the results of their actions, not even God.
In this final chapter, Lord Ram is made to face the fact that abandoning Goddess Sita was wrong and against Dharma. His one mistake set a precedent in the society where every woman had to defend her honor and anyone could question her chastity. She further asks that are the victims of assault supposed to be banished from society and be punished for crimes they didn’t even commit?
Tune in and hear Lord Ram’s answers to these difficult questions.
Chitragupta, also known as Dharmaraj is the Lord who keeps records of one’s actions in their lifetime and decides their fate in the afterlife. In his mythical court, we have brought the characters from the great epic - Ramayana to make their case and answer some tough questions.
We all are aware of the story of Ramayana, the great victory of Vishnu-Avatar Shri Ram over the demon Lord Raavan but in this edition, we bring to you a twist. Many decisions, many actions in the story which seemed suitable for that era now appear to be redundant.
In this audio-drama, the women of Ramayan will question the men of Ramayan, asking questions that were left unanswered in the epic. The men with their answers and justification bring a new, more relevant perspective to the epic.
The audio-drama is written and directed by Kanu Priya
