I finished my Comfort Fade Cardi by Andrew Mowry. This is a terrific pattern but my finished sweater is way too big. This is a classic case of incorrect yarn substitution. My husband joined me to chatter a bit about an event in our town, nature notes, book notes, and high note/low note.

Spring in central Illinois is almost here...and very late. I have been crafting for a new little one in our family--a great nephew! I finished 2 sweaters, a quilt, 2 hats for him, and a matching hat for the daddy-to-be.

I made two Sleepy Kitten Sets by Susan B Anderson from Making #4. I also sewed the Cat Basket by Sanae Ishida. Mae by Melissa LaBarre is one of my favorite cardi’s for baby girls. I finished my Antler Cardigan by TinCanKnits; announce winner of KnitCircus Yarn (Trampoline); share my Rhinebeck experience; and give an easy life hack for tying shoes. About 35 years ago a friend shared a technique for tying shoes that is equally effective to the double bow but pulls out easily.
