“I had such high hopes for this podcast but it is becoming very monotonous. There have been some interesting interviews but increasingly it is just listening to Drs enjoying the smell of their own farts. I was hoping for some variety with people in healthcare other than doctors (nurses, technicians) but I am getting the vibe that this is the kind of doctor that doesn’t have respect anyone other than doctors.
The final straw for me was a recent episode where a female surgeon was spouting so much internalised misogyny that I had to stop listening. At one point she said that dating in the workplace is easy for male doctors because there’s so many “nurses and OTs and physical therapist around”. Firstly, heaps of men in all of those role and most importantly female nurses don’t just work at hospitals so they can meet doctors. Neither of the hosts questioned this. So disappointing. Hopefully there is some more variety and insightful commentary soon but otherwise, just stick to his tiktok vids.”
