Very Solid
I almost gave it a four star, but I do honestly listen to every episode, and that isn’t the case with many podcasts. The hosts (Kevin and Maddog? Kirk and Jason? I’m bad with names.) are engaging and very well informed not only on current industry topics, but also gaming history. My only ‘complaint’ is that they both have a very narrow focus. One guy mostly plays Destiny, the other seemingly ONLY plays JRPGs. So they have hundreds of hours in just a few games. Sometimes they have a good guest, and can talk about a variety of games, and I wish this happened more often. Stephen Totilo was recently on, and talked about a dozen games he had been playing. Maybe Stephen would be a nice addition as a regular guest so they can cover more territory. Either way, its fun to hear whatever they are talking about, and SplitScreen is well worth a listen.

Fantastic podcast. Love you guys so much! It's awesome to get Kotaku in an easy-to-digest audio form. The loudness of the mics seems a little low, but overall it's spectacular info each and everytime I listen.Read full review »
