Great guests! But episodes are bloated
The guests are awesome and are the reason I keep listening. But there are major drawbacks to the format chosen for this podcast: (1) I always skip the first 10 minutes and go straight to the interview with the guest. The first 10 minutes is a boring set of news which I usually don’t care about. Better focus entirely on the guest and on one single topic instead of trying to read a list of bullet points as fast as you can. (2) The post-editing is too aggressive. It’s just too fast, the is 0 pause between sentences. If I needed to run the podcast faster, I would use the 1.5x speed on my podcast player. The Gotime podcast does a much better job at this; the edits are subtle and still keep the natural feeling of a conversation. (3) one host is on the right speaker, the other host is on the left speaker. I guess the expected result is that we feel they are “in the same room”, but for me it’s just an annoyance when I listen using headphones. Fortunately, the guest’s voice seems to be left untouched
