Clarity, thy Name is Kunstler
James Howard Kunstler and Duncan Creary provide pithy and precise dissections of what's gone wrong with suburbia and car culture and other unfortunate side-effects of the last hundred years of cheap fossil fuels, or what Kunstler calls "the cheap oil fiesta". Kunstler's informed, unpretentious and occasionally harsh analysis of the contemporary and historical causes and effects of the suburban experiment are nothing if not eye-opening. But in addition, his sense of irony and wit provide a levity that would otherwise leave you overwhelmed with anxiety. The makings of an excellent social discussion, if only enough people listen, think about it seriously, and join in.
