Description
King & Wood Mallesons' third annual Climate Disclosure report has analysed the ASX50's public statements on climate risk and governance, finding a new,  more rigorous and consequential age has begun for companies’ climate and sustainability considerations.  A mandatory climate disclosure regime looms, and recent infringement notices, investigations and proceedings by regulators show regulators are now clearly focussed on greenwashing enforcement. Report lead author  Senior Associate Emma Newnham is joined by Partners Jack Hill from the corporate M&A advisory practice, and climate litigation specialist Edwina Kwan. Together, they unpack the implications for organisations, including what comes next, with a special look over the horizon at nature based and social focussed reporting.
