Great topic but production has more work to do.
There are without a doubt very few more intriguing stories or Latin American folklore than the story of La Llorona. I feel like a podcast about it just as a result of the topic should be a hit but I feel like Univision with it’s decades of experience in TV and radio production could have done a whole lot better. The production of this piece has made it difficult to get through even the first episode. The show seems to have been recorded as a live show and little time was spent in production. The sound quality although it’s crystal clear is sometimes difficult to understand at anything other than a loud volume to capture all the full range of the host’s voice. However listening at high volumes can be difficult as well due to the host’s emphasis on some syllables which record louder than most of rest of the audio. The host’s interjections through the callers narration of the event can be annoying and disrupt the flow of their story. I feel like she should allow the callers to tell their story and not interrupt with “ok”, “hum” and her redundant explanation of some points. Not a fan so far but will continue to listen hoping it gets better.
