Fantastic, thoughtful
I have to say I was very impressed. The episode with Andrew Yang exploring the current incompatibility of capitalism + automation with trying to live a meaningful life was fascinating. And kudos to Knox and Robinson for pushing the topic, really looking beyond the immediacy of what a universal basic income would bring (money to pockets) to the ways that it could be used to transform our personal and political culture. What Yang and James Kaelan talk about in terms of UBI’s ability to create more minimalist ways of living really resonates during this time of COVID, too, with lots of parents sending their kids into pod-learning situations already and so many of us isolated. I greatly look forward to what future episodes will bring.
