If you have been keeping up with my podcast- I am currently back in the US, spending a month away before I have to fly back to Korea on Christmas Eve. I decided to spend 3 days with my close friend this weekend to bother her with my love because we've been apart for 2 whole years. Here's a casual Q&A between us while she walked her dog and eventually, we accidentally took you to a taqueria with us to fill our stomachs with authentic Mexican food. Don't mind the ambient noise, here's...

I am back in the land of the free and everything has been a whirlwind, including my sleep schedule. So to take a load off of the food I've been eating and the thoughts I've been accumulating, I decided to go on a walk with my sibling. Come along with us as we roam around our neighborhood on a whim. Fair warning, the audio is recorded via my iPhone so you might hear us and the world around us. Hoping for a part 2, but before that- here's part 1 from my first week (5 days) back in Texas.

Just when I thought everything was peachy, something just had to go south. Last weekend, I went to see Mamamoo's last concert here in Seoul and spent some quality time with friends I haven't seen since 2017 when I ventured out for my first overseas concert. As I am swimming through post-concert depression, another conversation with mom knocked me back to base 1. Coupled with the anxiety from heading home in 3 days, she really lit a fuse that triggered something I needed to talk about, but...

I was wrong in the last podcast as I somehow have more good news to share. So much so, she's somehow longer than SNL's insensitive skit on Ned Fulmer's shameless behavior. Anyhow, my apologies for rambling on and on in this podcast. I would blame the green grapes ade but honestly, my mind is already a mess without the sugar so bear with me as I spill every little detail about my productive vacation.

Wow.
I didn't think I would miss reading stories, but here I am an hour later. So here's an unexpected entry from "disco-dingus," a story that revolves around a 6-year-old boy, his broken family, and an unlikely friend. I had so much fun reading it- but if I didn't do it justice, I highly encourage you to have a read yourself~!

Let us pretend that I was stuck in another dimension and thus could not update for a month. Although that was not true, I am neither Peter Parker nor Keanu Reeves; I "was" stuck making some big changes in my life. From starting a new job to dyeing my hair milk tea grey, here is the "thic" update you deserved.

Am I one day late? Absolutely. Considering it's acceptable to blast Christmas music in November, being a day late for Halloween isn't so bad. Here is a log of what I did for Halloween and some late night thoughts on my insecurity of being non-confrontational.

Oh how I missed home...Living abroad sounds fun but it also gets tough when you're away from home too long. This weekend, we sent off a good friend/coworker we met here in Seoul and it's making me miss home. Well, "some" aspects of home...which led to a conversation with my mother about my future. Spoiler alert it didn't end completely well....more like semi-well.

We often find ourselves distracted by this busy world. Though it is true that sometimes we lack the motivation to do things, have you ever thought of the root of the problem? Yes, social media is addictive. But it could also be beneficial in moderation. So what causes us to stay off-tasked? Let's tickle our brains and have a look.

Though it's only September and Thanksgiving in the states is quite some time away, I've got the chance to "celebrate" Korea's version of Thanksgiving - Chuseok. Luckily I was spared with 7 days to "celebrate" this holiday. So, allow me to explain how I managed to spend my first Chuseok in South Korea (with occasion commentary from Oonee).

Though the general consensus is that, when we adopt a pet, we are saving a life. Truth is, we are the ones being saved. As I ride out the low points of my stay here in South Korea, a cat came into our lives and turned it upside down (for good). Here is the story of how I met my second cat, 3 years after Milktea's passing. So um....Milktea can you please visit my dream now?

Life happens in good or bad ways. Seasons change, and at times it brings seasonal depression. Perhaps there isn't a solid reason that contributes to your fluctuating mental health, and I am as clueless as you are trying to make sense of this cycle that comes and goes. But I've recently gone through a period of confusion and burnout with my project and my mental health. I wanted to share my experience with you and to explain my absence. I also hope that whoever finds this podcast will find a...

In today's day and age, we are suffocated by various standards intentionally and unintentionally imposed by social media. As a human, it is natural to follow the "herd" and subconsciously accept what is projected to us. But one size really doesn't fit all. We are all different in our own ways, and it is unhealthy trying to evaluate ourselves according to those un-universal standards. I realize I was falling into a blackhole that was sucking the life out of my relationship with Taro. Now that...

Trying out new things is great, but it is always easier when you have good company. What if that isn't the case? What if you are in a foreign country and you can barely speak the language? This week, I will discuss my experience dining and filming at a restaurant in Korea by myself (for the first time). I also went on a tangent discussing the value and imbalance between money and dreams. #personaljournal

It never gets easier and every time hurts like the first. Dealing with death isn't a skill but rather a compromise we make with time. There are different ways to cope with loss, some heavier than others. Today, I will be unpacking some baggage I kept in the basement. Here is how I learned to cope with the loss of a beloved pet.

This one, this one is a real work of horror. I wasn't expecting to read on for hours but here I am. The story of the NoEnd House challenges our mental state through a series of psychologically tormenting experiences showcased by a seemingly endless house. Tuck yourselves in, because you won't be able to do so afterward.
