In September 1974, the sleepy municipality of Palimbang would be rattled awake by cannons being dropped by army units aboard naval ships. What followed were days of torture, violence, starvation and a massacre that would forever traumatise a whole generation of Moros in the midst of Marcos's martial law regime.
