Difficult Audio
This one is hard for me to enjoy because the sound levels are all over the place. I listen to podcasts on my daily bus ride and typically have no problem finding a comfortable volume level. With this show my hand was constantly on the volume button, one moment I can barely hear the actor and in the next I am blasted with overly loud sfx or over eager acting. For example, when the ranger is interviewing the survivor I can not hear her even at top volume, the survivor yells and I can’t adjust the volume quickly enough then I miss what the ranger says. It’s very difficult to enjoy. I will give season 2 a shot to see if they get it normalized a little, if not I will have to stop listening.

I dig this one. Sometimes it’s a bit YA in feel, but for me that’s part of its charm. They use clever ideas to bring the story about (reasons why it’s recorded) appreciate that. I’m very much intrigued with the complexities that are unfolding and will continue to listen.
