“Would it make sense for the Lakers to trade away Deng and a first round pick to the Hawks, receiving Melo from OKC in return.
OKC would trade away two future 1st’s to the Hawks and Melo to the Lakers in return for 2nd round pick.
Hawks: would end up getting 3 first for two years with Deng.
OKC: would unload Melo and save them 100 mill in taxes
Lakers: would get a expiring contract in Melo for cap space next year for a first round pick.
Or at least something this? Melo is only 6 mil more that Deng and we are already talking about sign Melo if he’s released so why not ?”
