“I am new to land management. I’ve only listened to a few shows, but I have really gravitated to the idea that more quail means a better deer habitat. Quail and Turkey love seeds and insects. If seeds and insects are present, then there is good for the deer. If there is cover for the quail, then there is probably cover for the deer. We have seen more and more quail the last few deer seasons.
You are wrong about one thing though. There are GIANT deer in Douglas county. Even on U Hwy south of Mansfield!”
