Your Australian spokesman was drama-mongering in his assessment of the population’s attitude to the way both the Federal & state governments have dealt with Covid. Except for those wanting to travel to Australia and,when occasionally there is an outbreak, within Australia, our lives have largely been unaffected. This is because the rules have been clearly stated by all state premiers, regardless of political stripe, backed by the prime minister, & followed by the people. As well there has been no moving of goalposts. Consequently, at least in their dealing with this pandemic (not in everything else, I hasten to add) our political leaders have, for the most part, the respect of the people.
