Description
Private Lake Michigan access? Only one campground has it. Maris Brennan from MARVAC joins us yet again to talk about an amazing campsite on the shores of Lake Michigan. Woodland Shores Campground is in Mears, Michigan, just south of Ludington and Pentwater, and was formerly the members-only Timberlake Resort Campground. Now open to the public, they offer 100 acres of campsites on 300 acres of wooded land – and they’re the ONLY campground with a private beach on Lake Michigan. Although most of their customers are seasonal campers, they still have spots for day campers in the 2023 camping season. And because they offer RV campsites, tent sites, and RV rentals, you don’t have to be an RV owner to enjoy this gorgeous location.    For specifics, they offer five pull-through campsites for larger RVs, and their medium-sized sites fit campers up to 32 feet long. They offer 30-amp service and although there are no sewer hookups, there is an onsite dump station, as well as a honey wagon that comes around the campground to do pump-outs.    Tune into the full episode to hear more about:    ●      Why you’ll find a trail of stuffed animals in the forest  ●      How they’ve made the campground golf-cart friendly ●      Where you’ll find the ONLY sand dunes east of the Mississippi River that allow off-road vehicles ●      And what you need to do to book a seasonal site for 2024 on their new inland lake-facing lots   Although summer holiday weekends are booked at Woodland Shores, they’re offering a 30% off special if you join them during the week. You can learn more about the campground and book your spot at https://thewoodlandshores.com/, or find them on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/TheWoodlandShores/. And their site offers pictures of those famous Lake Michigan sunsets you can enjoy when you’re a guest there – so be sure to take a peek. Click here to watch the full episode.
